We are VDM Retail Group (Pty) Ltd, doing business as Nambuy and Nambuy Food ('Company', 'we', 'us', or 'our'), a company registered in Namibia at 44 Parsons Road, Southern Industrial, Windhoek, Khomas 9000.

We operate the website nambuyfood.com (the 'Site'), the mobile application Nambuy Food (the 'App'), as well as any other related products and services that refer or link to these legal terms (the 'Legal Terms') (collectively, the 'Services').

This Shipping Policy (“Policy”) outlines the terms and conditions regarding the delivery of goods purchased via the Nambuy Food platform.

 

🚚 Delivery Timeframes

 

  • Nambuy Food operates on an on-demand delivery model, aiming to deliver all orders within one hour of confirmation.

  • While we strive to meet this delivery window, actual delivery times may vary depending on:

    • Vendor preparation times

    • Traffic or road conditions

    • Product availability

    • Delivery location

  • Nambuy Food does not guarantee one-hour delivery, and we shall not be held liable for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances or operational constraints.

 

📦 Order Fulfillment

 

  • Orders are fulfilled from vendor partners listed on the Nambuy Food platform.

  • Nambuy Food coordinates the collection and delivery process but does not produce, package, or tamper with the contents of your order.

  • Once the delivery is completed and confirmed by the customer via signed delivery note, ownership and responsibility for the products pass to the customer.

 

📉 Damaged or Faulty Products

 

  • If a product arrives damaged inside its original, sealed vendor packaging, this is considered a vendor issue.

  • Nambuy Food shall not be held responsible for damage or defects not caused during transit.

  • Customers are encouraged to report such issues by noting them on the delivery note at the time of delivery and submitting a refund request through the app or website.

 

🛑 Delivery Refusals or Failed Deliveries

 

  • In cases where delivery cannot be completed due to:

    • Inaccessible delivery location

    • Refusal to accept the order

    • Failure to verify ID for restricted items (e.g., alcohol)

  • The order (or a portion thereof) may be returned, and the delivery fee will not be refunded.

  • For alcohol-specific refusals, see our Section 29 “Alcohol Orders and Age Verification” of our Terms and Conditions.

 

✅ Delivery Confirmation

 

  • Upon delivery, the customer (or authorized recipient) is required to:

    • Inspect the order for completeness and visible damage

    • Sign the delivery note to confirm delivery

  • If issues exist, they must be clearly written on the note and acknowledged by the delivery person at the time of receipt.

  • Once signed without notes, the order is considered accepted and complete, and no refunds will be issued for post-delivery complaints.

 

 

📍 Service Availability

 

  • Customers will only be able to access product listings and place orders if their selected delivery location falls within our active service zones.

  • Nambuy Food is currently available in the following areas:

    • Windhoek

    • Katutura
